The Birthday Club began in March 2005 based on our desire to try all the wonderful restaurants in the Delaware Valley and Southern New Jersey area.  Little did we think it would last 6 years...and still be going strong! 

The Birthday Club has grown to 14 members and each member has a birthday month, which may or may not correspond with their actual birthday.  The birthday person(s) gets to select our dining experience for that month, which can at times be a difficult task.  The websites that exist, which rate restaurants, left us wanting for more information about the restaurant's food and dining experience.  We thought "wouldn't it be great if we had 14 friends who ate at the restaurant and could share each of their individual experiences with us"...which is why we developed this website.  We would like to help others who are interested in finding a good meal at a local restaurant in Delaware County, Philadelphia County, Southern New Jersey or Northern Delaware and don't have 14 friends who ate there...

On Our Dining Experience page, each Birthday Club member provides their own commentary on the restaurant, the food, the service, etc. for the restaurant that we ate at for the current month.  Since each of us typically order different appetizers and entrees, you should get a good idea of how good the food is.

On Our Favorites page, we list out Our Top Favorite restaurants.  These are restaurants that we went to prior to the establishment of this website.  We all voted for our Top 12 restaurants (we were 12 members strong back then) and the number of votes each restaurant received is noted on this page.  In 2010, we revisited a lot of these restaurants and our online reviews can be found on the Previous Months Reviews page.  Since we have not revisited all of our Favorite restaurants, you could find a real gem amongst these restaurants so you should check 'em out!!
